Check out the new MFA Program in Literary Translation at Boston University.: http://www.bu.edu/translation/mfa
The program builds on the forty-year tradition of the BU Translation Seminar, which has trained many translators and literary figures, and hosted many renowned translators over the years.
The new one-year MFA is now open for applications for admission for Fall 2020, with language tracks available in Arabic, German, Greek, Japanese, Latin, Persian, and Spanish. The curriculum comprises translation workshops, classes on translation theory, and a course on literary style in English, taught by faculty drawn from World Languages & Literatures, Romance Studies, Classical Studies, Creative Writing, and English, among them a number of active practitioners of the craft. Our ongoing Friday series of Lectures in Translation offers students a chance to interact with leading translators in the field, and our video and audio archive of translation lectures, which goes back to 1978, is a priceless source of knowledge about translation practice and history.
